Mehmet Keyvan is the Chairman and CEO of KEYVAN Aviation Group.

He is the founder of KEYVAN Aviation, a company based in Istanbul, Turkey and among the only 4 EASA approved global companies to process and deliver accurate aeronautical and navigation database useable for aircraft avionics and navigation systems.
Mehmet played an instrumental role in leading the turnaround of the KEYVAN Aviation. Before starting and developing KEYVAN Aviation, Mehmet served as an Avionics engineer and technical consultant for 20 years and had opportunity to work with famous aviation brands. He worked with aircraft manufacturers teams on new avionics system installation and developments on the aircrafts.

After a setting up the KEYVAN Aviation, Mehmet achieve new millstone by successfully manage the team getting the EASA approval for KEYVAN Aviation as a first Turkish company and 4th globally. This achievement helps KEYVAN Aviation to put its signature on the unique business of processing of Aeronautical and Navigation Database in global arena. In addition to being CEO, founder and investor of KEYVAN Aviation, with reference to his experience he selected as an accountable manager for the company to represent company in technical and regulation requirements to EASA and other authorities. He managed to facilitate and sign an agreement between KEYVAN Aviation and GE Aerospace, ASELSAN and TUSAS (Turkish Aerospace Inc.) and include KEYVAN in the data supplier list and business partners to support airlines with most accurate navigation database.
Mehmet continues his way by working on new projects and currently discussing and presenting few projects to European Union with the aim of sustainable aviation and less carbon emission by help Airports and operators to manage the flight and ground time by using new generation tools and data sets. He believes on the powers of data and benefits can gain from data analyses.
Mehmet is a member of GIYAD ( Association Of Young Executives And Business People – Turkey) , TUSIAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association – the biggest and strongest Business Association in Turkey), TURKONFED ( Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation), and globally SC-217 ( Aeronautical Databases committee , established 2008, is developing Standard for Processing Aeronautical Databases ), SC-216 (Aeronautical Systems Security committee, established 2007, to develop airworthiness security methods and considerations), HIB (Services Exporters’ Association), ACI (Airports Council International- Europe) and active member of ACI Technical, Operation & Safety Committee , ACI ECONOMICS Committee and Forbes Business Council.
His success story covered by a book written by Ozlem Bay “Basaranlar Kulubu “ published at May 2023 and Global and local Media and his articles published on Forbes website internationally and other magazines locally. He is invited as a speaker in aviation events with subjects included with Using Data in Aviation, AI in Aviation, Sustainability in Aviation and performance management in aviation by utilizing data sets, like World Aviation Festival. He is also invited to speak in the universities as a mentor and support students and projects which are in the same direction of his background.
With his leadership and management, KEYVAN Aviation announced as a winner in 2 different categories in BlueSky Aviation Award 2022 and shortlisted as finalist in Middle East Business Aviation Award 2020 and 2022. He was also awarded “Aviation CEO of the Year 2023” by the Global CEO Excellence Awards.
