Hasan Küçükakyüz, Vice President of the Board at KEYVAN Aviation, is a retired Air Force General and former Commander of the Turkish Air Force.

Retired Air Force General Hasan Küçükakyüz is a distinguished commander and aviation leader, recognized for the senior responsibilities he assumed at the highest levels of Turkish military aviation and for his exceptional career spanning more than 44 years. After graduating from the Turkish Air Force Academy in 1978, Küçükakyüz served at various levels of the Turkish Air Force, undertaking significant responsibilities in piloting, squadron command, operations, training, inspection, and strategic management.

Throughout his career, he held several critical positions, including Commander of the Air Training Command and Commander of the Combatant Air Force and Air Missile Defence Command. From 2017 to 2022, he served as the 32nd Commander of the Turkish Air Force. During his tenure, he led initiatives focused on operational readiness, training capabilities, institutional resilience, and the strategic development of Türkiye’s air power.

Over the course of his 44-year flying career, Küçükakyüz logged more than 5,529 flight hours across 29 different aircraft types. With his extensive operational experience, strategic leadership capabilities, and expertise in international defence cooperation, he is regarded as one of the most respected figures in the aviation and defence ecosystem.

He has been awarded the NATO Medal, the Turkish Armed Forces Distinguished Service Medal, the Turkish Armed Forces Medal of Honour, and Pakistan’s Nishan-e-Imtiaz.
